Now mobile phone developers can test mobile phones in real time. The leading provider of testing, monitoring and support solutions in US, Alltel Virtual Developer Lab has unveiled remote testing service of mobile phones. Alltel’s new remote testing service offers developers Mobile Complete’s remote handset and network access technology to test mobile phones on the Alltel CDMA network.
Thus the new technology allows Alltel’s entire development community to interact with the most advanced mobile devices, as if phones are physically in their hands. Initially, developers can use this service on seven mobile phones, including BlackBerry 7130e; BlackBerry 7250; BlackBerry 8703e; Palm Treo 650; Palm Treo 700p; Palm Treo 700wx and UT StarCom PPC-6700. The Alltel VDL has following capabilities:

1. Global service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
2. No shipping of phones to update fireware
3. Device reservation system with a multi-user environment
4. VCR controls to quickly reproduce problems from the device.
5. Opportunities for collaboration by sharing your screen with other users to step them through screens through a VCR controls

Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless products for Alltel, said,
