
LG Electronics announced that soon its new Trax multimedia phone would be available through AT&T. AT&T has partnered with LG to offer its nationwide wireless video sharing service.
LG’s new Trax is slim, multi-purpose clamshell shaped device, which connects AT&T’s 3G UMTS/HSDPA network. AT&T is also offering video streaming, music downloading and other services on the high-speed network. The size of the LG Trax is 4×2 inches and it is slightly thicker than a half-inch. The LG Trax has a memory port for 4 Gbytes of microSD expansion storage. The phone supports Bluetooth Wireless technology, which can be used in hands-free headsets. The new LG Trax also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera and in-camera photo-editing.
AT&T has launched the LG Trax in 160 markets across the United States mobile video share, which allows two subscribers to share video during voice conversations. AT&T’s mobile sharing service is also available on four other mobile handsets, including LG CU50a, Samsung Sync, Samsung A717, and Samsung A727. The company charges $5 per month for 25 minutes of video sharing and $10 a month for 60 minutes. AT&T is offering music service, which enables users to access subscription services like Napster and eMusic. The company is also offering services from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central, and exclusive premium content from cable network HBO.
According to Ehtisham Rabbani, VP of product strategy and marketing for LG Electronics MobileComm USA, LG Trax offers is an extremely functional music mobile phone with a cutting edge technology and design.
