RIM, maker of Blackberry handsets announced that its latest handset Blackberry Pearl is now ready for consumer. The company is hoping that this handset will take market of Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

The Blackberry Pearl has a display of 240x 260, which is similar to HTC’s MTeoR 3G handset. It features with QWERTY keypad that has two QWERTY keys to every numerical key. The BlackBerry Pearl is a quad band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled handset. However it does not have 3G technologies but it is coming 64MB flash memory and additional 2GB with Micro SD card

It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera with in-built flash and 5x digital zoom, speakerphone and Bluetooth 2.0 for hands free handsets. It also supports for MP3 and ACC music files and MPEG4 and H.263 video files.

The handset would be available in market from this month. Soon, you can keep it in your pocket.
