Bytemobile Inc. has signed an agreement with Opera Software ASA to develop and market dynamic content adaptation solution, which will provide better connectivity to access Internet on mobile phones, PDAs and other mobile devices. According to the agreement, the Opera Mini browser transcoding technology will integrate with the Bytemobile’s Unison. This multi-service optimization platform will enable mobile network operators to offer full HTML web browsing on their handset subscribers. Opera Mini content adaptation technology enables network operator to enhance their mobile user experience with fast web access on any mobile device though server based and client server browsing. While the Bytemobile’s Unison multi-service optimization platform monitors the traffic and transparently applied services, like performance, content filtering for parental controls and WAP 2 gateway, now it will also monitor the adaptation of all Internet content for mobile handsets. According to Timo Bruns, executive vice president, Business Development, at Opera, this strategic partnership will help Opera in web browsing, while Bytemobile in Internet services optimization.
