China has a lion’s share in mobile phone production of the world. It produced some 304 million mobile sets last year, which figures 36.8 percent of the world’s total production. According to the Ministry of Information Industry, approximately six in every 100 mobile phones, which China exported last year, were indigenous brands.



The Asian super power China exported 13.2 million mobile sets of its indigenous brands. It exported total 228 million mobile phones to the rest of the world. In other terms, it is 5.8 percent of the total export.
