Taiwan based company, CyberLink Corp. has partnered with Irdeto to integrate CyberLink Mobile DTV Solution software with Irdeto’s secure solutions for mobile TV. This joint venture will create a complete solution to protect TV content on the mobile phone platform.
The CyberLink Mobile DTV Solution will enable the navigation and playback of TV programs, while the Irdeto’s conditional access (CA) and DRM technology will provide a secure mechanism to access mobile TV and other subscription services through mobile phones. The CyberLink mobile DTV solution is multi-standard and multi-band software, which will enable the decoding, playback and recording of TV.
Even the mobile DTV player also supports electronic service guide (ESG) information that allows users to quick preview of TV channels through preview window. The new multimedia service will enable subscribers to enjoy multimedia-broadcasting services on their mobile phones, smartphones and in-car devices.
