
Finally, software giant, Microsoft has launched three new Windows Live services at the 3GSM World Congress, Barcelona, Spain. Microsoft has launched the three products, named Live Search for Windows Mobile, Live Search for Java and Windows Live for Windows Mobile.
Microsoft’ Windows Mobile offers a ‘robust partner and developer program’, which helps independent software vendors (ISVs) to create applications for the Windows Live programme. the developer programme of Windows Mobile offers software development kits (SDKs), testing guidelines, which supports ISVs to develop indows Live mobile applications for Windows Mobile, Java, Symbian, and Palm devices, and deploy them with mobile operators.

Additionally, it has a unique, category-based search, which gives an option to map all results. Live Search for Windows Mobile provides an additional new capability, including satellite imagery, GPS integration with the ability to send search results to a friend. It has following features:
1) Users can browse categories like restaurants, hotels and accommodations, and shopping based on their locations.
2) It offers detailed results with full addresses and telephone numbers, which can be automatically saved to contact list. Users can use it while on the fly and can be displayed in road.
3) It has Global positioning capabilities, which is built into Live Search for mobile and enable users to search and explore routes from their current location.
Currently, it is enabled in Windows mobile powered devices like Nokia Series 40 and Series 60 devices, the Motorola RAZR/SLVR family, and assorted LG and Samsung devices.
