Fujitsu Microelectronics has come up with a sophisticated 2.4 GHz 802.15.4/ZigBee demo kit, termed as WiLeKit, which eases the difficulties of wireless ZigBee interconnections with a Fujitsu-patented simple network control protocol.
Fujitsu says it is the first of its kind ZigBee Wireless solution kit in the current wireless market. It supports IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee standard and comes with five end devices and one personal area network coordinator.
With WiLeKit, the customers can develop and deploy a simple wireless network. One of the advantages of Fujitsu kit is that it can be fixed both manually as well as mechanically.
In case manual mode, the users can acquire any end field data from network centre at the press of the button. And, the automatic mode sends field data to the control centre automatically. However, common to both modes is data reliability in the communication process between the network control and end device.
Speaking on the WiLeKit, Fujitsu deputy marketing director, Andy Chang elaborates,
Customers always expect to immediately add wireless control functions into their existing systems. The market has been looking for an easy-to-use ZigBee solution. As the industry’s first ZigBee wireless solution with simple networking protocol delivered by Fujitsu, WiLeKit fully meets market needs. There are almost unlimited applications for many fields, such as intelligent community systems, power sub-station monitoring and wireless measure instruments.
