
Hutchison Whampoa, the Hong Kong Company, which operates several third generation mobile phone networks in Europe and Asia.
The company has globally launched the X-Series form 3, which will allow their customers to access Internet through mobile phones. The full range of X-services from 3 will allow customers to access several core applications and uses of the broadband network through mobile phones. An X-Series customer would be able to make and receive unlimited Skype calls with Skype PC. Skype to Skype calls on a 3G mobile would be free.
Now Hutch is planning to launch new service, named X-Series service from December. Initially, Hutch will launch the new service in United Kingdom (UK), which will allow customers to watch their home television on their mobile phone using Sling and access their home PC remotely using Orb and have access to Internet and messaging services from Yahoo!, Windows Live Messenger and Google.
Hutch has teamed up with Skype to provide the VoIP service. Firstly, Hutch is launching this service on Nokia N 73 and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications’ W950i.
