The question what every iPhone owner will have lurking in their mind is that why did Apple choose AT&T for its revolutionary iPhone despite knowing that AT&T is not a very good wireless carrier. May be the main reason is that Apple wants to take over the wireless industry in a manner in which they took over the digimusic industry.
Steve Jobs knows it very well that people will opt for iPhone even after knowing that the carrier is not the best in the US. In the near future Apple will upgrade the phone and will also lower its costs like they did with their revolutionary iPod. With more changes and the reduction in costs more and more people will be lured by the iPhone and will opt for it. This will even make the die hard Verizon and Sprint lovers to change their network and buy iPhone and thus come with AT&T. This will lead to the day when Verizon will have to repent on not agreeing to the terms and conditions set by Apple.
Apple wants to cell unlocked iPhones that can work with any provider, but if things seem to go their way they surely will roll back this decision and thus will have a strong hold on the wireless industry. When this industry comes into their hand they will be in a strong position to target the biggest of all PC industry.
When people will start to own an iPod and an iPhone they surely will prefer to have a Mac rather than a PC. Verizon on the other hand is still unmoved by this plan of Apple and Ivan Seidenberg the Chairman and Chief Executive of Verizon has stated that this new product will not alter his own firm’s steady game plan.
For now all the Verizon lovers will have to wait for the things to improve or will have to wait for some iPhone hacks that can allow them to use the phone with Verizon or Sprint.
