KDDI Corp. and Google have agreed to develop search engine into internet mobile phone services of the former. KDDI corp. will become the first mobile telephone network operator to introduce such kind of service in Japan. Joining hands with search engine giant Google, KDDI corp. will enable the users to search content on both mobile phones and PCs.
KDDI corp. is expecting windfall profit by selling search engine supported mobile phones in July.
Soon after the announcement, KDDI’s shares at Tokyo Stock Exchange increased.
