MagnaChip Semiconductor has launched the two new high performance CMOS image sensors for camera enabled mobile phones. The company has launched two CMOS image sensor, MC521EA and MC511EA, which enables mobile phone for advanced image processing. MagnaChip Semiconductor’s new MC521EA is a 1/4 optical format 2 megapixel CMOS sensor with an integrating advanced image processing, one time programmable, non-volatile memory and also enables unique module serialization and calibration. The MC521EA has a MIPI (Mobile Industry Process Interface) port and GPIOs that can be used to support autofocus features as well as other camera features also. Additionally, it has on-board ARM7TDMI core, which can be programmes with different algorithms for auto-function control. The MC511EA is a 1/5 optical format 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, which offers the same functions of MC521EA, like advanced image processing and control functions and also enables modules as small as 6x6x4mm. The EA series products has low noise 12-bit analog to digital converter architecture and excellent low light sensitivity, which makes them ideal products for video applications.
