According to one survey of Jupiter Research, most of mobile phones users are aged between 18 years to 24 years. They usually focus on Internet and emerging technologies. Approximately one in four adults is using only mobile phone with no landline service.



This is first time when Michigan has more number of mobile phones than corded landlines.



The Detroit News reported that the number of landlines service is changed from 1 to 5.7 million, while the number of cell phone subscribers increased from 2 to 6.6 million.



According to the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association, the number of wireless-only household grew from 6 to 8.4 percent in 2005.
