The enterprise class RFS7000 RF Switch and WS5100 Wireless Switch from Motorola has fulfilled the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) pre-validation requirements and have been placed on the FIPS 140-2 pre-validation list. The RFS7000 RF Switch and WS5100 Wireless Switch products have qualified the Common Criteria evaluation process at the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4 (EAL4), the highest level for compliance with the U.S. government Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Access System Protection Profile for Basic Robustness Environments.

Motorola’s RFS7000 RF Switch and WS5100 Wireless Switch are end-to-end enterprise WLAN product suite, which enables enterprise mobility indoors. Additionally, the enterprise WLAN is also a part of Motorola’s MOTOwi4 wireless broadband solutions and services, which complement and complete IP networks. The MOTOwi4 portfolio includes following:

1) Fixed broadband
2) Mesh
3) Broadband over powerline
4) WiMAX and Enterprise WLAN solutions for private and public networks

Currently, the Motorola wireless switches are the only wireless/RF switch products, which qualifies the Common Criteria evaluation at the EAL4 with the specified U.S. government protection profile for basic robustness environments. Now, government retail and healthcare financial markets are able to deploy Motorola’s Enterprise WLAN solutions as they know that wireless and RF switch products fulfills the highest security standards.
