
VoIP and IP PBX opened the new world for business handsets and Wi-Fi. It means that one handset can do all business phone calls anywhere anytime in the enterprise except employee mobile phone.
Nokia and Alcatel are trying to work on Wi-Fi enabled phones, which will work like regular office handsets. Both companies are emerging dual-mode cell phones and Wi-Fi devices and moving towards network and technical issues.
Nokia and Alcatel will offer software by the end of this year, which will make line of smart phones, Nokia Eseries mobile phone. It means that they can use this technology as PBX connected desk phone, which has both features like call conferencing and name dialing. It allows employee to keep only one number on their desk.
Last year Nokia has acquired the Intellisync to hold enterprise market. The company has unveiled the Eseries phones, which has varieties of business features. The phone has QWERTY keypads and it also supports for business applications. Call Connect for Alcatel software that will make the phone to enterprise PBXes the ordinary mobile phone network.
Intellisync Call Connect for Alcatel is only part of the Nokia’s Intellisync Mobile Suite. It would be available through Nokia and Alcatel resellers. The phone will also support for dual mode phones till next year.
