A leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, Novatel Wireless has launched the world’s smallest HSUPA USB modem, Ovation MC950D USB Modem, a HSUPA Mobile Broadband device. The Ovation MC950D is optimized for HSPA and EDGE/GPRS worldwide networks. The Ovation MC950D is tri-band HSPA and qaud band EDGE/GPRS modem, which is designed to be extremely durable and fit comfortably in any pocket.

Novatel’s MC950D delivers high quality performance with upload and downlink speeds, which meet or exceed traditional home DSL and cable modems. The MC950D allows users to access instant broadband for browsing the net, check mail and access important business documents while traveling. The MC950D supports 7.2 Mbps downlink speeds and 2.1 Mbps uplink and also offers notably faster speeds than legacy mobile data modems.

The Ovation MC950D includes fully integrated diversity antennae, receiver diversity and equalizer support to improve performance in noisy and highly mobile environments. It has already pre-installed Mobilink Lite Connection Manager Software, which significantly improves the user’s out-of-box experience by eliminating the need to install drivers from a CD.

Currently, the Ovation MC950D is in final stage of testing with leading leading carriers throughout EMEA. It is expected to commercially available by the end of this quarter.
