ROC-net (Regional Optic Cooperation) services of Netford has selected 5G Wireless’ new Wi-Fi base stations to deliver broadband internet connectivity throughout Rockford in attempt to spread the internet base out of downtown Rockford.



Jerry Dix, CEO of 5G Wireless Communications said midsize cities like Rockford held a lot of promise as it represents a good market for its Wi-Fi product range. By showering praise for Rockford, which he feels bears a true nimble atmosphere than the large cities Jerry Dix said the city will definitely benefit from an accelerated evaluation process.



Rockford would become the first Midwest City that will be utilizing 5G’s cellular style WiFi base station devices where each rooftop antenna offers up to one mile stretched broadband wireless signal.



John Avampato, ROC Net’s CEO feels that this is just a starting point where they plan to expand WiFi coverage area as soon as possible to throughout Northern Illinois.



Rockford the third largest city in Illinois is considered to be a world leader in production of auto parts. And now in the field of aerospace components also the city is carving its niche.
