
UK-based mobile entertainment and technology Development Company, ROK Entertainment Group has launched its 2.5G mobile TV service in Thailand. The company has launched this service with the corporation of Thailand’s leading network operator, AIS.
ROK Entertainment Group has partnered with AIS group to launch the mobile TV service in Thailand. ROK will deliver the AIS ROK TV platform on GPRS and it would be marketed by AIS. Initially, the company will charge USD $1.25 per month for subscription of mobile TV service. In which, the company will offer 20 channels, of which 3 are free, including Fox News streamed live as well as music, sport entertainment channels in both English and Thai.
According to Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK, this is the first mobile TV to be launched in Thailand. ROK TV over 2.5G is actually faster than any other existing 3G TV service and it is more compatible than any other handsets.
