Samsung : Dual T-DMB mobile phone



In IFA, trade show, Samsung launched its dual-band handset SGH-P900D, which is clearly showing its DMB standard potential. The demonstration was going on four popular TV channels and 14 radio channels.



Samsung is presenting its dual-band mobile SGH-P900D as the first handset in dual band generation. In this dual band handset, eight radio programs can be broadcasted, which is known as L-band. In the same frequency, not only the four TV channels but also visual radio program can be broadcasted. The sound format of visual radio enhances the broadcast of picture by every two seconds.



At IFA trade show in Berlin, the T-system has reserved another block of L-band and they are going to add four extra TV channels.



The L-band allows users to access eleven existing radio programs in their mobile phones but it supports only four TV channels.



Now, DMB standard allows mobile TV users to receive four channels in six German cities like Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Nuremberg. The Samsung SGH-P900, landscape format design has following features:



• Stereo speakers

• A digital sound amplifier

• A dynamic 150 MB memory

• External MicroSD memory expansion slots

• A TV output



It has also multimedia features like two-megapixel camera, an MP3 player and Bluetooth technology.
