SiGe’s RF front-end technology enables wireless VoIP

SiGe Semiconductor Inc. announced that its Wi-Fi RF front-end technology will enable Samsung Wi-Fi phones to increase their wireless voice capability. Now Samsung Wi-Fi phone users are able to do high quality multimedia messaging service. Samsung’s Wi-Fi phones will support wireless voice and multimedia messaging services with high quality, optimal range and long battery life. SiGe’s SE2521A60 RF front-end technology is integrated with the Samsung SMT-W5100 and the SMT-W6100. Samsung SMT-W5100, theis basically intended for small businesses, while the Samsung SMT-W6100, an IP phone is intended for consumers. Both phones are integrated with SiGe Semiconductor’s SE2521A60 RF front-end module, which will includes all the required circuits between the transceiver and the antenna. SiGe Semiconductor’s SE2521A60 RF front-end module boosts signal strength, which will ensure that wireless signal can transmit by using high data rates over further distances. The RF front-end module adds Wi-Fi capability to its consumer electronics without making any effect on size, battery life or performance of battery by using the efficiency of integration and power. According to Andrew Parolin, Director, SiGe Semiconductor, Wireless VoIP service and multimedia messaging is value added services for customers.
