
SK Telecom, the wireless operator has developed the first integrated mobile user interface platform. The company is installing this platform into Motorola phones.
SK telecom has developed an integrated wireless Internet UI platform, named ‘T-PAK‘ for mobile phones. T-PAK will allow wireless operators to change mobile UIs as well as offers of data service like access of wireless Internet and content downloading. It will combine the existing package with global package and provide push-type standby screens.
Motorola is the first mobile phone manufacturing company who adopted the wireless operator-led UI platform. This is the first time that the integrated wireless UI platform is adopted for mobile phones.
SK telecom has already made deal with TI of U.S for expanding the wireless Internet market in Europe. According to this deal the company will install T-PAK into TI’s OMAP chipset.
