Soon your mobile phone will also serve as a health info device like thermometer and sphygmomanometer. After the launch of motion sensing technology in mobile phone, the device seems to be a healthcare terminal. Mobile phones are already working as dietitians and also monitors health information.

Japan based company, NTT DoCoMo, Inc. has launched motion sensing technology in mobile phones on April 23, 2007. Now Japan Government is working on formulating strategies to promote preventive medical care. In such cases, those device become pervasive, which are capable of measuring health conditions at home like mobile phone, PDAs and smartphone.

The company is working on a technology, which measures body temperature of users by using in-built sensor and record and display it in a graph, so that users can check and manage the data. Even NTT DoCoMo is expecting to use mobile phone for the management of data measured like external blood pressure meter or pulse meter.

Soon, NTT DoCoMo will launch a test of healthcare services on mobile phones. The tested service will store measurement data, which is obtained by external healthcare equipment in mobile phone.
