
Now Sprint mobile users would be able to see Microsoft’ Windows Live Search engine bar at the top of its menu page, whenever they access the web. Sprint Nextel Corp, Wireless carrier provider announced that the company will place Microsoft’s search engines on their mobile phones.
User can search for news, sports scores and ringtones within the carrier’s own mobile portal. After Google and Yahoo, Microsoft is the third web search and investing heavily in its mapping technology on mobile phones. Google has already launched number of mobile phone services including search maps, Gmail account and Google News. Google has launched this service in Europe and Asia.
Sprint and Microsoft will share the revenue from advertisements alongside Windows Live Search results. Both companies will work together to introduce new mobile phone services in the future.
