Sprint offers Pandora music service on mobile phones

Now, Sprint customers have the power in their hands to discover new music and hear their favorite songs through their personlised DJ on their phone. Wireless service provider, Sprint Nextel announced that now company will offer Pandora online music service to its mobile phone customers. This is the first time, Pandora is coming into mobile phones. Pandora on Sprint phones is integrated with the online version of Pandora. Users can save around more than 100 music stations on their account. They can enjoy this service at Pandora and on Sprint phones anywhere within Sprint’s extensive nationwide Power Vision network. Even Sprint customers can also create new stations directly on their phones through an easy-to-use interface. Information about the current song would be displayed on the phone’s color screen. Customers can also scroll backwards to see this information for recently played songs. In addition, customers can also rate songs with the touch of button with either ‘thumps up’ or ‘thumbs down’. Pandora adjusts the station’s programming immediately and also pause a song as well as skip a song, that users do not want to hear. Sprint customers can book mark their song and the song name and artist would be saved. The bookmark serve as a reminder to purchase the song from the Sprint Music Store, which offers more than 1.6 million songs that can be downloaded wirelessly on the phone with in 30 seconds for only 99 cents each with a Power Vision data plan. Jeff Luther, director of entertainment wireless data for Sprint said, Pandora is a great way to break out of the same songs on your playlist and hear some new music that you may have never found otherwise. It’s the latest example of the many innovative ways that Sprint delivers music on the one device people carry with them throughout the day. Currently, Pandora is available on five Sprint Power Vision phones, including the FUSIC by LG, A900 and A920 by Samsung, and 7500 and 8400 by Sanyo.
