
Now Nokia users can access and advanced enterprise telephony capabilities as they travel across private Wi-Fi and public cellular networks through Avaya’s new solution. The Avaya One-X Mobile Dual Mode is combination of Avaya’s IP-based applications with Nokia’s Eseries business devices, including Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70 models to deliver the full benefits of fixed mobile convergence.
Avaya one-X Mobile Dual Mode is enabled with VoIP capability, which allows users to ‘handoff’ phone calls using dual mode communications. Users can make calls from their office desktop and they can receive calls on their Nokia Eseries business device, which ensures that users can make contact to their customers and colleagues wherever they go.

Avaya one-X Mobile Dual Mode on Nokia Eseries business devices delivers enhanced functionality and improved security, which allows users to use one device for their business and personal use. Enterprise telephony is featured with the dual mode solution, including conferencing, transfer and extension dialing. Security features benefits include the ability to authenticate the Nokia Eseries device to a PBX, giving business greater control over wireless communications by allowing only authorized users to access company systems.
Avaya dual mode solution can be downloaded from the Avaya one-X Mobile Dual Mode application. The solution requires Avaya Manager Software, Avaya SIP Enablement Services (SES) and an Avaya Extension to Cellular dual mode license. Avaya SES uses SIP to for facilitating the registration of users and enables handoff functionality.
