
A leading provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, Sybase, Inc. has partnered with the world’s leading provider of Microsoft Windows Mobile-based smart devices, HTC Corp to help Windows mobile based smart phones to effectively compete with the BlackBerry. The companies have tied up on business, engineering and marketing initiatives, which is designed to deliver Sybase iAnywhere mobility software on HTC devices.
Initially, the alliance will focus on the management and security components of the Sybase Information Anywhere suite, which provides a platform for enterprise mobility. A subsidiary of Sybase Inc., iAnywhere is working with the Taiwanese contract manufacturer while designing its products. The company is ensuring that, iAnywhere’s suite of management and security software, Information Anywhere, smoothly runs on new devices.
Now, iAnywhere is testing its software on HTC device before releasing the product. ianywhere announced that the company has certified its products from VMware Inc. and Microsoft, so they can run on virtualization software.
According to Terry Stepien, president, Sybase iAnywhere, the combination of Sybase iAnywhere solutions with innovative HTC mobile devices and wireless infrastructure will develop simple and affordable ways to improve productivity and also increase the efficiency of sales in competitive marketplace.
