World’s largest voice platform provider, Tellme Networks, Inc., has enhanced its platform with new multimodal capabilities for mobile phones, which will allow companies to create their visual experience with existing service. The company has also partnered with TuVox and Viecore, so that these partners can use the Tellme Platform for creating voice applications.
The services are based on VoiceXML 2.0, a web based language for building voice applications to make Internet data over any phone. The company will work with the W3C to deliver VoiceXML 3.0 and multimodal standards. Business users can use the Tellme Platform with these new multimodal extensions to enhance their voice experience with a visual interface for mobile phone users.
According to Jamie Bertasi, vice president of Tellme Platform Solutions, Tellme provides an open platform to create applications, so that people can interact on mobile phones to enhance their business.
