These certified products would be interoperable and fully compatible with upcoming certified WUSB gear. Users can plug these dongles into a USB port, so that they can easily communicate through wirelessly with a dedicated USB hub across the room. Then users can plug USB devices into that hub and then show up on their computer, as they are directly plugged into it.

According to USB-IF president, Jeff Ravencraft, with a variety of certified wireless USB silicon and end-user products are available, the group is expecting to see other OEMs and ODMs follow suit in the coming months as Wireless USB continues to broad adoption.

The certified products are featured with a “Certified Wireless USB” logo on the product packaging. Wireless USB 1.0 provides data rate of up 480Mb/sec at a distance of three meters.
