Now Verizon subscribers in US can watch television on their mobile phones. The second largest US mobile phone provider, Verizon Wireless announced that the company has launched the first commercial mobile television service in 20 states of US with full-length programmes and high quality picture.
The joint venture of Verizon Communications Inc. and Vodafone Group Plc. will provide the television service on mobile phones, while Qualcomm Inc. unit MediaFlo has developed the service, which includes eight channels broadcasting full-length TV shows to mobile phones on 24 hours a day.

The picture of the mobile TV would be better than Verizon Wireless’s existing Vcast video service. The company will charge $15 a month for the service. Firstly, the mobile video services launched in 2004 in US with 7 million customers, which is increased upto 232 million customers.
According to Ovum analyst Roger Entner, it is expected that MediaFlo users could increase to 20 million to 30 million people within about seven years.
