Virgin Mobile USA’s strategy is quite interesting as they are focusing on appealing low-end devices instead of adding powerful smartphones into their portfolio. A leading provider of no-annual-contract wireless phone services, Virgin Mobile USA announced the first LG mobile handset to join its line up. The new device will also feature Virgin Mobile’s new dynamic and intuitive graphic user interface.

The company will ship the new Aloha mobile phones to its retailers across the US. The new Aloha mobile handset comes with clamshell design and metallic finish. The device offers real-time music ringtones and multi-messaging capabilities.

Virgin Mobile’s Aloha from LG is 3.5-nches long by 1.9-inches wide, and is only 0.9-inches thick. The Virgin’s Aloha can hold more than 199 personal contacts with five numbers, three e-mail addresses and one URL slot available for each. In addition the device offers more than 180 minutes of talk time and 150 hours of standby time. The new device comes with 65 k color display, basic keys like speakerphone and voice-activated dialing. Aloha comes with pre-loaded games, including ZooZoo Club and Battle Reversi and variety of ringtones and screensavers. The company will work with its major retail partners across the country on extensive point-of-sale promotion and merchandising campaigns for the Aloha.

According to Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president, Product Strategy and Marketing for LG Electronics MobileComm, USA, Inc, this deal will establish their relationship with the handset, which has the features and style.

The Aloha will be available for purchase in September at a retail price point of $34.99.
