A new speech recognition technology is now available from Vlingo. Cambridge based company; Vlingo has launched a beta version of its voice powered interface for mobile phones.
The new technology allows mobile phone users to access applications by speaking. Like other speech based mobile services, Vlingo does not require any specific steps. Vlingo claimed that it’s Find speech recognition software frees users from triple tapping on the mini keypads on the mini keypads of their mobile phones to text, search or download content from the Internet.
Vlingo’s software has a user interface, which suggests an alternatives if it may have misunderstood the user’s request. Then, the user can scroll down and correct the software and also mix typing and talking.
Initially, the company is targeting for those consumers who have mobile phones with advanced features, like browsing capabilities.
