Vodafone is launching Map24 online mapping appilcation in Germany. The Map24 would not charge you for their mapping application.
The Map24, on-line application will run on Windows mobile and Series 60 Symbian devices. It will provide you all normal mapping functions with 3D view. Since it generates lot of traffic, so it would be quite expensive for you.
The Map24 is coming on Mobile Earth especially for Vodafone Live users and it is covering Germany for the moment. Mobile Earth will now add aerial photographs on most of Java based Vodafone Live handsets.
The MG Map will provide an interface to collect data from others, which will also include Virtual Earth and Yahoo Maps.
It is good news that mapping application is coming free on mobile phones. Just check the bandwidth so that you do not have to spend more time for connectivity.
