After launching YouTube videos, Vodafone is planning to provide Google Maps on its mobile phones.
British Telecom Company, Vodafone Group PLC is collaborating with Google Inc. to develop maps for mobile phones. The biggest mobile phone network operator in the world, Vodafone has partnered with Search Engine giant, Google to provide easy to-use maps, local listing and search navigation capabilities on its mobile phones.
According to Frank Rovekamp, global chief marketing officer of Vodafone, the Google map service will allow customers to search their exact location, while on the move.
Recently, Vodafone has signed a deal with European company, MySpace to access MySpace pages on mobile phones. The company has also signed an agreement with US bank, Citi Group to enable their customers to use international money transfer services through their mobile phones.
