In most of mobile phones, you can access Internet, but browsing web pages on small screen of mobile phone was very tiresome and so boring. Not anymore, now consumers can check their mails, read new stories on the fly and consult a map too.
The two Internet providers, Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. are introducing program especially for mobile phone to make mobile phone as small personal computer.
Google has unveiled its personal homepage named Google Map featuring live traffic updates, while Yahoo! Inc has announced its web application named Yahoo! Go for mobile, which includes e-mail, search, address book and other local information programs.
Two Internet companies are offering text messaging services, which will allow users to search information like weather forecast, movie times etc. TV channels like ABC and HBO are launching services through which users can watch TV shows or download images.
According to one survey, approximately 25 million wireless users are accessing news and other information through their mobile phones.
Yahoo! and Google are making their first step in mobile industry market by offering new mobile applications.
