Intel introduces Wireless N connection for multi-tasking

Now, Intel’s new Wireless technology will offer you good performance in your Intel based laptop. Intel has introduced the new Wireless N technology, based on the 802.11n Wi-Fi draft specification, which will user to connect easily wireless network. Intel’s new Wireless N technology allows user to access their multiple wireless simultaneously and enjoy bandwidth-consuming applications. It will enable PC notebooks to download broadband-intense content like movies, videos and music. Intel has initiated the ‘Connect with Centrino’ program, under which company is working with leading access point (AP) vendors including, Asus, Belkin, Buffalo, D-Link and Netgear to better ensure compatibility and performance. Intel’s wireless N product is certified to work with multiple APs. According to Dave Hofer, director of wireless marketing for Intel’s Mobile Platforms Group, the wireless N technology into computers PC based on Centrino Duo with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor will deliver the speed, coverage and multitasking abilities to their users to enjoy home networking and digital entertainment.


 
 
 

Royal Philips Electronics has partnered with Intel Corporation to develop wireless, handheld ‘Mobile Clinical Assistant’ for doctors and nurses. Philips is planning to design, develop and manufacture a Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA), which will enable nurses and doctors to improve bedside patient care by using an integrated, wireless device to connect to patient information stored in electronic medical records. MCA is new category of mobile point-of-care devices, which is designed with input from clinicians through clinical workflow studies, interviews and ethnography research conducted by Intel. Philips MCA has number of features, which are given below: 1) The Philips MCA has number of technology features, which comes in single platform, including an easy to read 10.4 inch XGA touch-screen, RFID and barcode scanning, Bluetooth, wireless LAN connectivity and a digital camera. 2) This portable device helps clinical users to fill out charts, capture vital signs, write up reports and validate blood transfusions as well as allow monitoring the healing of wounds. 3) Philips MCA is featured with intuitive function controls, LED indicators and other smart interfaces. 4) The device is fully sealed without any unnecessary I/O ports 5) The Philips MCA comes with the long-life battery. 6) The Philips MCA fully shares Intel’s healthcare vision. According to Patricia Perry, vice president of Intel’s Digital Health Group and general manager of Healthcare IT, MCA is basically designed for clinicians, which will allow nurses to access up-to-the-minute patient records and to document a patient’s condition in real time.

Intel is expand its new brand named Intel Centrino by launching Centrino Pro processor technology for IT users. Intel Corp. is expanding its innovative and popular features designed for desktop business PCs named Intel Pro processor technology is coming in its forthcoming high-performance laptop. Intel is bringing Centrino Pro processor technology especially for IT users, which will allow IT users to manage their desktops as well as notebooks. IT managers would be able to manage and protect their notebooks over Wi-Fi. Additionally, it also administrators to manage their wired notebooks and desktop PCs. Intel’s new Centrino Pro is based on the Santa Rosa platform, which supports ore 2 Duo processors with Intel Virtualization Technology (VT) running on a 800MHz front side bus. Intel’s 965 Express chipset is paired with the ICH8M-Enhanced southbridge, which also features Intel Active Management Technology 2.5 (AMT). AMT stores vital software and hardware information in non-volatile flash memory.
