World’s second largest Search Engine and Internet service provider, Yahoo! has launched its One Search Beta service in Indian market. Yahoo! One Search is available on its exclusive web portal, in.m.yahoo.com. Yahoo! has launched this service in other six Asian countries, including Malaysia and Singapore. One Search is basically a keyword search on the mobile web. Users can access Yahoo!OneSearch on their mobile browser through GPRS connection. Initially the service is available on GSM mobile phones not on CDMA mobile phones. Even users can access content on news. Finance, weather, images and Flickr on their OneSearch portal. Yahoo! has tied up with several content providers to offer better search results using its own search technology. The company will also open up the portal to advertisers in the form of sponsored links and display advertising. These ads will allow users to interact other sites or by connecting them through a call. Yahoo! has included its global clients like Pepsi for advertisement. Yahoo! has already open its OneSerach portal for mobile publishers in US. Yahoo! has already launched Yahoo! Go mobile service in India, which allows users to access services like Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger on their mobile phones. David Ko, vice-president, president and general manager of Connected Life Asia, said, It understands what busy consumers are looking for when they are on the move and brings up relevant answers in the first screen.
