Palm intros Treo 755p for Sprint network

Palm recently announced the release of its ever-slowly-improving lineup of smart devices, but this time expandin on the 700 series with the Palm Treo 755p sprinting on the Sprint network. The Treo 755p is the first Treo, which is built-in with the Microsoft Direct Push technology for email and Google Maps for mobile devices. The Google Maps support not just allows you to see maps and satellite photos, but also find directions, make out listings local to your area and even receive real-time traffic updates. It’s a CDMA device and sadly WiFi support is even now a wanting nice-to-have that is always looked for by us in a smartphone. The device does though include support for EvDO (Rev.0), mini-SD card slot giving support to almost 4GB cards, a 1.3 megapixel camera that captures stills and video, SMS backing for Yahoo, AOL and Gmail, and the capability of watching mobile video with Sprint TV. With the correct service plan, users are enabled to make use of the Treo 755p as a modem for their laptop using a USB connection or Bluetooth. The on the whole rather-slim frame hasn’t come to a change much however they have included a few colors as the Palm smartphone enters either midnight blue or burgundy. The model will be available by the middle of this month, starting at $279 with discounts. Image Read
