A leading provider of software products and services, Seagate Technology has announced that the company has joined the Symbian Platinum Program to support the market of Symbian smartphone. Seagate will support the Symbian smartphone with its new DAVE technology and ensure its interoperability with devices running S60 3 rd Edition and UIQ user interface. The DAVE technology will deliver 10-20 GB hard drive wireless storage in slim-line mobile phones. Seagate’s DAVE technology will allow users to experience enterprise and consumer applications and enable them to store and move their digital content. Seagate’s DAVE technology will deliver a whole new level of integrated micro-hard disc acapcity to Symbian smartphones. It allows Symbian users to increase the storage of digital photos, videos, music and personal data files. According to Jerry Panagrossi, vice president of US operations, Symbian, this joint venture will deliver best-class storage solutions to Symbian eco-system.
