A leader in Mobile Software Management, Red Bend Software and Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) updating solutions for mobile devices has launched new mobile suite, vRapid Mobile, which customizes software on mobile phones. vRapid Mobile is based on Red Bend’s patented FOTA software that updates the entire firmwire image as one monolith. vRapid Mobile offers comprehensive approach to customize software on mobile phones and delivers different mobile services on mobile phones. It is the first Mobile Software Management solution, which can update, add and remove individual embedded software components on any mobile phone. User can order new mobile applications and services by pressing a key. As user makes demand, VRapid allows the service provider to roll out new services immediately. Additionally, the platform providers can also deliver platform, which will enable operators to customize software assets at point of sale or post sale and ISVs can update or add software to mobile devices. Service provider can also push e-mail capabilities through messaging client update by using vRapid. Even service provider can also upgrade phone’s media player to support video service, install a new audio codec to support good music downloads, enhance an existing custom application suite with location/navigation services; and update the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) middleware on a mobile phone to efficiently support service providers deploying quadruple play IP-based networks. vRapid Mobile will support Linux features and selected features of phone platform, which would be available in quarter of this year.
